Scott Frost: UCF 'insulted' by CFP, claims 'concerted effort' to keep Knights out

Players and coaches for both Georgia and Alabama got a kick out of the University of Central Florida claiming to be national champions after completing an undefeated season with a win against Auburn in the Peach Bowl.

"Florida is home to the country's best college football, and this season, UCF proved to the world that they can beat any team", Scott said in a news release. The school has also made championship T-shirts available and will raise a championship banner in their stadium.

UCF Athletics Director Danny White also said that "As Orlando's Hometown Team, we're looking forward to celebrating with our community on Monday night". So by the transitive property, they should be in the playoffs.

Unfortunately, he's still getting no respect from the College Football Playoff after initially being denied entry to the press box. "I was watching [the selection show] every week, the committee sitting in a room and deciding that this two-loss team must be better than UCF because UCF is in the American, or this three-loss team must be better than UCF".

But SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey dismissed the Knights' claim by not addressing it, 247sports.com reported Saturday.

Central Florida football has enjoyed an entire championship journey before the national championship has even been played.

Luckily, everything got sorted out and he was allowed to enjoy the pre-game feast.

Like Nebraska, Alabama went through a period of on-field struggles until the Crimson Tide hired Nick Saban, who has won four national titles since 2009. "Doesn't mean anything to anybody but them".
