Nokia 3 will jump straight to Android 8.0 Oreo

However, MyDrivers notes that the handset will come for custom software aimed at the Chinese market, so it remains unclear whether the handset will see a UK release. Amidst all the rumours, a new report coming from China reveals that HMD Global will be hosting an event to launch the Nokia 9 on Jan 19.

If the speculation is legit, expect the Nokia 9 to fetch around £415 SIM-free.

Nokia 9 is widely anticipated as the successor the Nokia 8, and it appears that the Nokia 9 could be launched as early as the 19th of January.

Those prices, while fairly high, would be a little lower than previous pricing rumors had suggested and a lot lower than some of this year's flagships, such as the iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

It is expected that Nokia 9 will have 5.5-inch QHD display and will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. Nokia 9 has also leaked in images which shows the phone to come in three colour variants - black, blue and silver. Well, makers will have a much easier time porting new versions of Android to their phones with Treble in place. Chances are that we may see Nokia 9 is two variants - one with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage while the high-end version of the phone may boast a 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It seems that Treble requires a special partitioning of the internal storage that cant be done over the air.

According to the site, HMD Global - the company behind the phone - will also announce the Nokia 8 (2018) at the event.

Both the Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 (2018) are expected to have dual cameras at the back and have IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. Reports suggest that neither of the phones will include a 3.5mm headphone jack.
