Twitter reacts to the Giants suspending CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie

He was a key figure in the Giants becoming one of the NFL's best defensive teams in 2016, however, as the two-time Pro Bowler led the team with six interceptions.

Head coach Ben McAdoo said he spoke with Rodgers-Cromartie on Tuesday, and that Rodgers-Cromartie was at the team's facility on Wednesday morning and attended team meetings and later chose to leave.

According to the team on Twitter, Rodgers-Cromartie showed up to work on Wednesday and then made a decision to tell the team he was leaving (!?!). Collins says that Rodgers-Cromartie didn't leave the team but was suspended after he had a disagreement with McAdoo, according to Leonard.

McAdoo told Rodgers-Cromartie that he would be inactive for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos due to his actions, resulting in Rodgers-Cromartie walking out once again. After the meeting, the team announced the cornerback's suspension is indefinite.

McAdoo is now not scheduled to speak with the media Thursday after practice, but requests have been made for that to change.

"DRC came in yesterday".

While Rodgers-Cromartie is suspended, Eli Apple and Janoris Jenkins will continue to handle starting corner duties outside with Ross Cockrell likely taking on the nickel role.

"He came in today, chose to leave", McAdoo said. "Made a decision to leave. We will suspend him", McAdoo said. He came into the building [Wednesday] morning. So he left and now the Giants are suspending him. Rodgers-Cromartie then left the field against the Los Angeles Chargers while the game was still in progress.

Rodgers-Cromartie has 26 tackles and a half-sack this season. "I left [because] I felt what he said was BS".
