The successor of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 5 is expected to launch soon in India. The Redmi Note 5 is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and 3/4GB of RAM with 16/35/64GB storage variants. The rumours of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is rife since last two-three months but now it's specifications and features are leaked online, which has increased the possibility of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 to soon hit the Indian smartphone market. Hence, it is strange to see the upcoming Redmi 5 Plus with a 5.7-inch display.

GSMArena cites the purported pricing of the Redmi Note 5 all variants citing the Weibo user claims, the base 3GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant is said to be priced at CNY 999, the 3GB RAM model with 32GB storage is priced at CNY 1,299, while the 4GB RAM variant with 64GB storage costs CNY 1,699.
