The O's unexpectedly switched about 90 minutes before game time to RHP Chris Tillman rather than RHP Dylan Bundy (sore hamstring) and the Rays took advantage, scoring four in two innings.

Bundy was supposed to take the mound Sunday for the team's home finale, but the right-hander's status for the rest of the season now appears to be in flux. The 28-year-old, who is 4-7 lifetime against the Orioles, is 0-4 with a 9.00 ERA this month after combining to post a 3.26 ERA over July and August while going 3-2. After shooting to the majors in his first professional season in 2012, Bundy began three years of arm issues that included Tommy John elbow reconstruction surgery and calcification in his shoulder that limited him to 63 1/3 innings from 2013 to 2015.

Chris Tillman replaced Bundy as Baltimore's starting pitcher. But it didn't look good to give two of his top hitters off when they technically are still alive in the race and have all winter to rest.
